NY Fashion Week Spring 2012

Ahhh, once again it’s New York Fashion week, and designers are taking advantage of young women who get paid little and will do most anything to try to make it as a model. One agent advised a nineteen year old trying to get hired to parade on the runway to lie and say she was eighteen—nineteen is way too old.

Then the girls, at least some of them, have to parade with their breasts bared for the viewing pleasure of the audience, many, if not most, men, department store buyers who ogle with delight.

Yes, I too am guilty, and so are you, but who can resist the allure of the female form. Enjoy!

Do you mean they’re required to parade bra-less?

    Thanks for sharing!

The models are required to wear whatever clothing the designer wants them to wear, presumably whatever clothing the designer is trying to get buyers to buy. If that means no bra then wearing no bra is a requirement. In the back room outfits get changed quickly as the runway show progresses, and putting on bras and taking them off would only slow things down. Most clothing is worn braless, but most of the clothing covers breasts. Don’t forget, these women are all young, thin, and have relatively small firm breasts, as can be noted in the photos. They can get away without wearing a bra.
